- General Information
Training is essential in Girlguiding, to improve and build on our skills as volunteers. We have a dedicated training team within the County who offer the mandatory trainings needed to run a unit. Mandatory trainings include First Aid, Sectional and A Safe Space. In addition to this we regularly run trainings on other important topics such as financial matters, as well as trainings on more fun topics. The training team are here to help and support your development and, in addition to the trainings on the training calendar, we can arrange small sessions or give you information about trainings in other counties across the Region.
Trainings need a minimum number to run, so they could be cancelled if there are insufficient numbers to make the session viable, and venues may also change. Evening and half day trainings are £8 and a full day training is £15. The cost of trainings can be claimed from unit funds. The times of trainings will be advised. Evening trainings are usually 7-9pm.
